With any Desktop PC, laptop or notebook it is advisable to keep up-to-date with the latest Windows operating system that is compatible and suitable for your machine. This will ensure that your computer functions properly and is in sync with the latest online applications. Sometimes it becomes necessary to re-install the Windows operating system if it has been badly damaged or corrupted. This can occur if a Windows update suffers from a failure, through viruses or malware, the installation of incompatible or conflicting programmes or sometimes just through user error.

There are two option when updating your Windows system:
